On June 21, 2008 the Olympic Torch is scheduled to make its way to the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.  We cannot let this happen! The Chinese government has had brutal cracked down on Tibet.  It is inappropriate to parade the torch through Lhasa at a time when Tibetans are mourning their dead and while thousands remain in prison or unknown.  

On June 11, 2008 the Free Tibet Campaign wrote a letter to the Coca-Cola UK president in effort to make the British branch of multinational beverage firm to take a stand on Tibet.

Dear Mr Guha,
 
I am writing as a UK resident with an appeal to Coca-Cola Great Britain to break with  the non-interventionist position of Coca Cola HQ in Atlanta by taking a stand on the brutal crushing of peaceful protest in Tibet.
 
I appeal to you to do this by making a public statement, as a sponsor of the Olympic Torch Relay, that it would be distasteful for the Chinese government to parade the Torch through Lhasa and other parts of Tibet at a time when Tibetans are mourning their dead and thousands have been arbitrarily arrested and detained.
 
If Coca-Cola does not do this and Tibetan blood is spilt during the Torch's procession, you will be remembered (by the people of Tibet, by me and by many others) as the sponsors of shooting and torture in Tibet.
 
Please speak out for Tibet and against the human rights abuses of the Tibetan people.

Recently a "friend" at school announced that she was pregnant. It didn't surprise me. She sleeps around a lot so it was bound to happen one day. But, when she told me she was keeping the baby, that was a different story. She's only 15 and she's a major pot head. Also, if she were to keep the baby she'd be kicked out of her house. I was thinking, "That's not a good life for the child." At first I didn't even care, but when she said, "Everyone calls me Juno," that got me thinking.

Lately the media has had a lot of control over teen pregnancy. Movies like "Juno" and "Saved!" have some what influenced teens by saying "Teen pregnancy isn't that bad," with reviews calling those movies "A hit!" and "Instant Classic!" Also, TV shows have had teen pregnancy scares, such as Gossip Girl. I have read a Maclean's magazine a while ago that had a huge article on teen pregnancy. It stated that teen pregnancy had risen in the past year in Canada, the UK, and the US.

Unplanned pregnancy is now the pop-culture staple. So many teen celebrities are getting pregnant in TV shows or in reality. But this is affecting the youth. Now, teen pregnancy is more socially accepted. I have heard lots of girls saying that they would have a child during high school. I mean, I’d like to have children too, but I’m smart enough to wait. A cost for raising a child is very expensive. You might as well go to collage.   

Everyone wants to be the next Juno. But enough of me babbling, what do you think?

What yummy foods I had today! I was testing foods for vegetarians. it's all good is the food company I was testing for. They had a lot of yummy products. There were "chicken" breasts and "beef" strips. All of their products are made with grains and vegetables. It's 100% vegetarian! I recommened vegetarians to try it. In 2007, the "artist" Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death.

For several days, the "artist" and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful "masterpiece" based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.

Does it look like art to you?

But this is not all... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the "installation" was actually art, so that Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008. PLEASE HELP STOP HIM. It takes a second to help put a stop to animal abuse.

Okay, lately I've been having realtionship problems. I wasn't all that happy in the realtionship I was in. All of this wekk I was thinking of breaking up with my boyfriend. I mean he's cute and everything. But, I just wasn't happy. We never really did anything together, and he was always to shy to hug me or kiss me (I'm the cuddling type). Also, my emotions were mixed.

I'm not sure if I still love him. I know I like him, but I started to crush on someone else. Not knowing what to do, I decided to break up with him. Half my friends, said "Don't do it!," and the others said, "If your unhappy, then do it."

I broke up with him today at lunch. I didn't think he'd really care, but he started to cry, and walk away. I found our after I broke up with him that he had a tough week. He's been having family problems (not gonna say) and things aren't going swell.

I pretty much cried when I heard this. I'm probably the worst person ever! After I heard that, I started sucking up to him. I told him, that if he wants to, we could go back ot again, I said we were going through a little break.

Was I just letting him down easy? I don't know!!! Should I go back out with him? I mean if I do, I'm not sure if it's just sucking up  him. And if I don't, am I a terrible person?

My friend's say I shouldn't care about it so much. He didn't tell me he was having problems. Not 'till after we broke up.

We were having major communication problems. But, now I like I broke his heart. I made it even a worst Easter week-end for him! I don't know what to do!

Finally! I'm healthy enough to go!!!

Today at school, two boys were handing out pamphlets that was titled "Marijuana is legal in Canada." This got a lot of the students attentions, since 60% of the students at my school smoke pot. I read it and it actually was pretty, well I don't know how to describe it, right?

It basically summed up as saying that there is no law in Canada that says Maijuana is illegal.
